ZillaSoft is a one-person business. No investors, no board, no pressure to grow at all costs. That independence means I get to decide what happens with the revenue, and one thing I decided early on is that a portion of it goes back to the community.
How it works
Every month, a share of net subscription revenue goes into a dedicated giving fund. Direct donations also contribute: if you want to support the cause without purchasing a product, there is a direct support option on our Community page. Every contribution, from subscriptions or donations, goes to the same two causes:
- Animal welfare: local shelters and rescue organizations working to find homes for animals in need
- People in need: food banks, emergency assistance programs, and direct support for individuals in the community
Why I am sharing this publicly
Transparency. It is easy to say you care. It is harder to show the work. This blog is where I do that: actual amounts, actual organizations, actual outcomes. No vague “we give back” language, no marketing spin.
Every post in this log will include the specifics: what was donated, where it went, and what it helped fund. If something changes, I will say so here.
