Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ZillaSoft products and services, including Snipzilla. By creating an account or using our software, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Enterprise customers: if you have entered into a separate Enterprise Agreement with ZillaSoft, the terms of that agreement take precedence over these Terms of Service wherever they conflict. Contact us at enterprise sales for more information.

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using any ZillaSoft product, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher), have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be bound by them. If you are using our services on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

You represent and warrant that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo, or designated as a terrorist-supporting country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

2. Description of Service

ZillaSoft provides desktop productivity software, currently including Snipzilla, a text expander application for Windows and Linux. Features vary by subscription plan as described on our Pricing page. We may add, modify, or discontinue features at any time, though we will not materially reduce core functionality for active paid subscribers without reasonable notice.

3. Free Trial

New installs of Snipzilla include a 15-day free trial with full Premium feature access. No credit card is required to begin a trial. At the end of the trial period, your account will revert to a limited read-only state until you subscribe to a paid plan. We reserve the right to modify trial terms at any time.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

Paid plans are billed on a recurring monthly or annual basis through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method on the applicable billing cycle.

  • Standard: $3.99/month or $2.99/month billed annually
  • Premium: $7.99/month or $5.99/month billed annually
  • Enterprise: $10.99/seat/month, or $9.99/seat/month billed annually ($119.88/seat/year). Volume discounts apply automatically. Custom pricing is available for strategic accounts.

Prices are in US dollars and do not include applicable taxes. We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 14 days' advance notice to existing subscribers. Price changes will not affect your current billing cycle. Payments are processed by Stripe; authentication is handled by Auth0. By subscribing, you also agree to their respective terms of service.

Volume discounts are applied automatically at checkout based on licence or seat quantity. Premium bulk licence purchases receive 5% off for 5-14 licences, 10% off for 15-29, and 15% off for 30-49 licences. Enterprise seat subscriptions receive 5% off for 50-99 seats, 10% off for 100-199 seats, and 15% off for 200 or more seats. Volume discounts do not stack with other promotional offers unless stated otherwise.

Standard and Premium licences may be purchased in bulk by an account manager and distributed to end users as single-use redemption codes. Each code provides one billing period of access at the purchased plan tier at no charge; the subscription then renews automatically at the then-current full price. A valid payment method is required at redemption even for zero-dollar transactions. Redemption codes expire 90 days after issuance. If a renewal payment fails, the account enters a past-due state and is placed in read-only mode until the outstanding balance is resolved.

Enterprise customers may opt in to Net-30 invoicing at checkout. Under this arrangement, access is granted immediately and a Stripe invoice is issued due 30 days from the subscription start date. If the invoice remains unpaid after the due date, access is automatically suspended until the outstanding balance is cleared.

Enterprise seat counts may be increased at any time; additional seats are charged on a prorated basis for the remainder of the current billing period. Seat reductions take effect at the start of the next billing cycle; no credit is issued for seats removed mid-cycle.

Founder Pricing: Subscribers who started a paid plan before September 1, 2026 receive a price lock until September 1, 2028. Your subscription price will not increase during this period, regardless of when you joined. If you upgrade to a higher plan while Founder Pricing is active, the upgraded plan price is also locked at whatever that plan costs at the time of your upgrade. From September 1, 2028, your subscription renews at then-current public pricing. This guarantee covers subscription price only.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing section of your ZillaSoft dashboard at zillasoft.io/dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until then. We do not offer prorated refunds for unused time on monthly plans.

Annual plans are non-refundable, except as required by applicable local law.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use ZillaSoft products to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Distribute spam, malware, or any harmful content
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble our software
  • Share, resell, or sublicense your account or subscription to others
  • Circumvent or interfere with any security feature or usage limit
  • Abuse the referral program, including by creating fictitious accounts, self-referrals, or using incentivised referral networks not authorised by ZillaSoft

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without prior notice.

7. Your Data

You own your snippet data. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over the content you create with our tools. By using cloud sync (available during the Trial period and on Premium and Enterprise plans), you grant us a limited licence to store and transmit your data solely for the purpose of providing the sync service. 8. Intellectual Property

ZillaSoft is the sole owner of all software, source code, algorithms, and systems that make up our products, including Snipzilla. All trademarks, logos, trade names, branding, proprietary technology, and website content associated with ZillaSoft and Snipzilla are the exclusive property of ZillaSoft and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership rights to you. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the software for its intended purpose during an active subscription. Any unauthorised use, reproduction, or distribution of ZillaSoft's intellectual property is strictly prohibited.

9. Disclaimers

Our products are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected. Use of our software is at your own risk.

We do not warrant that the software will be compatible with or perform optimally on every hardware or software configuration. ZillaSoft optimises Snipzilla to run efficiently across supported platforms; however, performance may vary based on your device's hardware specifications, operating system version, background software, and security tools. ZillaSoft is not liable for performance issues, conflicts, or failures caused by hardware or software on your device that does not meet the minimum specifications for the application, or by configurations outside ZillaSoft's control.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZillaSoft shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our products or services. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.

11. Termination

You may stop using our services at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, or if we decide to discontinue a product. Upon termination, you may export your data for a period of 30 days before it is deleted, except in cases of termination for serious breach of our Acceptable Use policy (Section 6), where access may be terminated immediately without an export period.

If we choose to discontinue a product entirely, we will provide at least 14 days' advance notice. Active annual subscribers at the time of discontinuation will receive a prorated refund for the unused portion of their subscription period. Monthly subscribers will retain access through the end of their current billing period.

12. Force Majeure

ZillaSoft is not liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations under these Terms due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, internet or infrastructure outages, third-party service failures (such as cloud hosting or payment processors), government actions, or other events outside our control. We will make reasonable efforts to resume normal service as quickly as possible and will communicate disruptions through our status page.

13. Referral Program

ZillaSoft may operate a referral program that allows existing paid subscribers to earn rewards by inviting others to subscribe. The following terms apply:

  • Eligibility. Only active paid subscribers (Standard, Premium, or Enterprise plans) may earn referral rewards. Trial accounts are not eligible.
  • Qualifying referral. A referral is credited only when the referred person (a) creates a new account using your referral link or code, and (b) completes their first paid Snipzilla subscription. Free trials and trials that expire without payment do not qualify.
  • Standard and Premium reward. Qualifying referrers on Standard or Premium plans receive one month of Premium access per qualifying conversion. Credits stack: each additional qualifying referral adds one further month. For active Premium subscribers, the reward also extends the current billing period by 30 days.
  • Enterprise reward. Qualifying referrers on an Enterprise plan receive a $6.00 USD credit applied to their next invoice per qualifying conversion.
  • Rolling limit. Rewards are limited to 10 qualifying conversions per rolling 30-day period. Further conversions within the same window are not credited.
  • One credit per referred user. Each person can be attributed to at most one referrer. Credits are not issued for self-referrals or for referring someone who already has an account.
  • Non-transferable. Referral rewards, whether Premium access months or invoice credits, cannot be redeemed for cash or transferred to another account.
  • Abuse. ZillaSoft reserves the right to revoke rewards and terminate program access if fraudulent or abusive referral activity is detected, including bulk self-referral attempts or use of incentivised referral networks not sanctioned by ZillaSoft.
  • Program changes. ZillaSoft may modify or discontinue the referral program at any time with reasonable notice. Rewards already earned and applied will be honored.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and ZillaSoft and supersede all prior agreements, representations, or communications, whether written or oral.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to the courts of competent jurisdiction in the State of Delaware. You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.

16. Survival

The following sections shall survive any termination or expiration of these Terms and continue to apply: Section 8 (Intellectual Property), Section 9 (Disclaimers), Section 10 (Limitation of Liability), and Section 15 (Governing Law).

17. Store Purchases and Physical Goods

The ZillaSoft Store sells branded physical merchandise fulfilled by our fulfillment partner. The following terms apply exclusively to physical goods purchased through the store. A ZillaSoft account is required to place an order.

  • Refunds. We accept refund or replacement requests within 15 days of delivery, but only for items that arrive damaged, defective, or incorrect due to a manufacturing or shipping error. To submit a claim, contact us at support with a clear photo of the issue. Because all items are made to order, we do not accept returns or issue refunds for buyer's remorse, wrong size or color chosen by the customer, or any other reason outside of a manufacturing or shipping error.
  • Delivery. Orders are produced by our fulfillment partner within 2 to 7 business days after payment is confirmed. Shipping time varies by destination. Total estimated delivery is 5 to 14 business days; this is an estimate only. ZillaSoft is not responsible for carrier delays, customs clearance, or events outside our control. No specific delivery date is guaranteed.
  • Cancellations. You may request an order cancellation within 2 hours of placement by contacting us immediately at support. We will make every effort to cancel before production begins, but we cannot guarantee cancellation once fulfillment has started. Orders already in production cannot be cancelled.
