Donation Terms

1. What your donation supports

ZillaSoft collects voluntary donations and redistributes them to charitable causes, including animal welfare organizations and programs supporting people in need. We publish a transparent record of every contribution and its recipient on our blog so you always know exactly where your support goes.

Separately from voluntary donations, ZillaSoft also allocates a portion of its own product revenue to the same causes, as described on our Community page. That program is discretionary, funded by ZillaSoft rather than by donors, and its amount and recipients are decided by ZillaSoft; it creates no rights or entitlements for any donor, customer, or beneficiary. Distributions from it are published on the same public log.

2. Voluntary contributions

Donations are entirely voluntary. No goods, services, subscriptions, or any other benefit are provided in exchange for a donation. Making or not making a donation has no effect on your access to ZillaSoft products or services.

3. No refunds

All donations are final and non-refundable once processed. If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us and we will review the situation on a case-by-case basis.

4. Not a registered charity

ZillaSoft is a for-profit software company, not a registered nonprofit or charitable organization. Donations made through our platforms are not tax-deductible. If tax-deductible giving is important to you, we recommend donating directly to a registered charity of your choice.

5. How funds are distributed

100% of net donated funds received by ZillaSoft (after third-party payment processing fees) are redistributed to charitable organizations on a monthly basis. ZillaSoft selects recipient organizations and publishes the details of every distribution on our blog. We do not retain donated funds as profit.

6. Charity selection

ZillaSoft reserves the right to select and change recipient charitable organizations at its discretion. We focus on animal welfare and support for people in need, but specific recipients may vary. All selections are disclosed publicly on our blog.

7. Payment processing

Donations are processed by third-party payment providers, currently Ko-fi and PayPal. ZillaSoft does not store your payment information. Each provider charges a processing fee that is deducted before funds reach us. By donating you also agree to the applicable terms of the payment platform you use.

8. Transparency

We are committed to being fully transparent about how donated funds are used. Every distribution is logged and published on our blog with the amount, recipient, and date. If you have questions about a specific donation or distribution, contact us and we will provide details.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of our donation platforms after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing law and incorporation of main terms

These Donation Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. The Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law (including dispute resolution) provisions of our main Terms of Service are explicitly incorporated herein and apply to all donations made to ZillaSoft.
